Winners of the highly-competitive awards will be announced in Las Vegas on January 13, 2010. The Pyramid Award is awarded each year to promotional products distributors who display excellence in the implementation of successful and creative marketing programs. It is celebrated in the marketing industry as the Grammy and Oscars are celebrated among members of the entertainment industry. The program was created by Jamie Cohen of Sonic Promos and national non-profit organization KaBOOM! in response to KaBOOM! objectives of attracting attendees to their booth at the National Conference of Volunteering and Service, encouraging participation in their “green” initiative and driving traffic to their website, kaboom.org.

By using two eco-friendly promotional items, Seeded Paper Bookmarks and Aluminum Water Bottles, the promotion helped KaBOOM! exceed their initial program goals. Hundreds of people visited the KaBOOM! booth at the conference and over 500 signed an Environmental Sustainability Pledge. Moreover, over 10% of the conference attendees visited a dedicated website after the event, staying on the site 221% longer than the average page view. KaBOOM! was extremely pleased with the program. “This event was a huge success for us, overall,” said Laura Toscano, Marketing Operations Manager at KaBOOM! “Our traffic, our end result, and the recognition we were able to share with our funding partner left absolutely nothing to be desired. But this is just one small corner of the work we do with Sonic Promos. Their commitment to getting to know our organization, our cause, and our audience help us again and again to create products that are in line with our brand and will drive people to action.”
